For its activities, Ex-Agencija uses Croatian standards in the field of explosion protection. With the active participation of technical committee HZN/TO E 31: Explosive atmospheres, and a large contribution by Ex-Agencija's experts, Croatian users have access to all international and European standards in the form of Croatian standards.

For equipment certification according to the Regulations for equipment and protective protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres (Official Gazette No. 34/10), the easiest way to show conformity with the essential requirements is to use unified Croatian standards. Based on article 5. item 2. of the Regulations for equipment and protection systems, the Ministry of Interior has published a list of unified standards in the Official Gazette. This list is regularly coordinated with the list of unified standards in Europe. The current list of unified Croatian standards has been published in the Official Gazette No. 32/11 and is also available on the following web page:

Also, for certification are applied standards that are not published in the Official Gazette and for which is assessed that their application proves conformity with essential requirements. Those standards are given in TU-NORM-CERT that is available on Ex-Agencija's web page.

For other activities, especially in the area of technical supervision, according to the Regulations of minimum safety requirements and workers' health protection, and technical supervision of plants, equipment, installations and apparatus in hazardous areas (Official Gazette no. 39/06 and 106/07), Ex-Agencija also uses other standards in the field of HZN/TO E 31.
