From the IECEx meeting in Split
Since Ex-Agencija has been actively present in the international standardization of explosion protection for many years, we have been acquainted with the advantages of the IECEx System from the beginning, and have been following its development ever since. Croatia's foreign policies are directed toward the European community, which will result in the increased globalization of our market. Thus we have undertaken steps to apply for membership in the European authorized certification bodies for both the ATEX Directive and the international IECEx System. Our long-standing participation in international organizations and systematic investment in knowledge has brought us the prestigious reputation we enjoy today in the global scientific community. Our efforts have resulted in the unanimous acceptance of Ex-Agencija as a member of authorized certification bodies and test laboratories of the international IECEx System at the ExMC meeting (IECEx Management Committee) held on September 8, 2011 in Split, hosted by Ex-Agencija. |
In the last 14 years of its existence, the IECEx System has developed into a respectable international organization, firmly supported not only by its parent IEC, but also world leaders in the energy sector and socio-political organizations as well, among which the UN, UNCTAD, UNIDO and ITC are particularly emphasized. This kind of favorable environment, which continuously expands the recognition of the IECEx System, has been created by an excellent strategy that follows recommendations made by the World Trade Organization to eliminate technical barriers to free trade in the global marketplace (WTO TBT Agreement).
